Flowers in Stratford

Of all the places I went to when I was in Canada, I think my mother would've liked Stratford the best, if only for all the beautiful flowers in the garden in front of the Stratford Festival.

I don't know the name of the flowers in the picture, but I'm sure my mother would have. She loved gardening. It was her favourite pastime. When I told her that I loved flowers, she put a bunch of flowering potted plants on the balcony by my bedroom window so that I could see them whenever I looked out the window, and every time I had some extra cash, I would buy her flowers.

There is no flower in the world that doesn't remind me of my mother. If there was such thing as reincarnation, I'm sure my mother would've been reborn as a flower. A simple but beautiful and elegant one. Just like she was.
