I really don’t like Daylight Saving Time (DST). Three years in Canada and I still don’t get the idea (there is no DST in Indonesia). You’re not exactly saving daylight. Sure there will be light when you wake up in the morning to go to work or to school (for awhile anyway) but when it’s time to go home, it’ll already be dark. Before DST, it’s just the other way around. Where’s exactly the saving here?
Anyway, my internal clock is still not used to the most recent change. I’ll be completely awake before 7 in the morning and ready for bed by 10. Last night I missed posting a picture to my daily photoblog because I fell asleep before 10:30 so I’m going to have to cheat today and post two pictures in one day. I also missed posting something here yesterday. I’m blaming that on stupid DST as well.
DST makes me grumpy.
Maybe canada land is too far from the equator to appreciate.
The idea is in summer with the shift of the hours the hours that the sun is up seems longer in the evening so you get the illusion you have more time to do stuff. As you get further from the equator this can happen anyways because say near Antarctica or the Arctic - in summer the sun never actually sets so you have these super long days anyways. But yeah in Australia - when I get up at 6am the sun will be just starting to rise, but in the evening when i get home at 7:30pm it will still be fairly light when we get further into summer so you are more likely to wanna do stuff supposedly - they dont know me and my lazy ways.
