Strawberry Burst

Yes, I’m still alive!

I don’t like grey days,
especially with no snow.

It’s just plain boring.

Yet Troy said they were getting tonnes of snow where he worked. But I’m not going to talk about the weather because that would be boring. I’m going to talk about cooking instead.

Have you ever cooked something you’d never cooked before because, when you read the recipe, it sounded so easy and yummy and all the good stuff but once you started cooking, whatever you were cooking turned out to be anything but? It happened to me yesterday. I decided to make some kind of egg drop soup for supper. I thought it sounded yummy and it did look yummy in the picture. But once I got all the ingredients into the pot, the soup turned into some crazy concoction that looked like diarrhea and smelt like the barn. Neither Troy nor I was brave enough to eat it.

We ended up having dinner out in a Vietnamese restaurant where the spring rolls were unusually good. And this morning, I flushed the crazy concoction down the toilet, where it belongs.
