On The End of NaBloPoMo 2008

Flowers Made of Lights

Well, that’s all folks! Thank you for riding the NaBloPoMo train(wreck?) with me for a whole month. I guess I’m supposed to say something introspective about blogging in the end, but unfortunately, I don’t really have anything to say other than blogging because you have to is not as much fun as blogging because you want to. There were days during the NaBloPoMo when I would rather just go to bed instead of having to think up a post before going to bed. You see, my life is not really all that interesting. The state of the world, on the other hand, is interesting, but if I blogged about it, I would only end up feeling depressed and angry. Thinking up a post when you’re sleepy is just So! Frickin’! Hard! I know I could’ve written the post long before the day almost ended but I was always kind of expecting that something interesting would happen so I could blog about it. But most of the time, nothing happened. So I just blogged about nothing!

I’d like to thanks tia, Sarah and Lance for commenting, even on posts that don’t really have any substance (read: posts about nothing). You rock! I still have yet to count up the number of comments to determine the contest winner. That’ll be my blog fodder for tomorrow. Ha!

On a non-bloggy note, don’t you just love the picture above? I really want to have it printed and hang on one of our walls. (Is it vain to love a picture you took yourself?) I also love that little lamp with colourful, beaded shade I got from a thrift store ages ago. It’s so great for experimenting with shaped bokeh. I just knew that lamp would come in handy someday!

Let’s end this post with three cheers for everyone who made it to the end of NaBloPoMo this year without missing a post. I’ll do the hip hip part and you do the hooray, okay? Ready? Hip hip [hooray]! Hip hip [hooray]! Hip hip [hooray]!

Excellent! Now give yourself a pat on the back for me. Good job, everyone!

  • Nice pictures, i like it....

    it's getting loooonely...

  • Oooh, shaped bokeh link! Thanks!

Also, maybe your new challenge should be to blog once or twice a week - it keeps you in the habit but isn't as restrictive or terrifying as once a day? Just a selfish suggestion really, because I like your link popping up on Google Reader! x

  • November was a busy month, wasn't it? But I had fun, reading and commenting. I was learning a lot of things, and really appreciating the wonderful photos posted here. Let's do this again next year? Hopefully life will have gotten more exciting!

    Hip hip hooray indeed!
