I haven’t posted a review of any alternative weblog hosting service for ages so I thought I’d post about mBlog. mBlog is basically a free weblog service which provide users with Movable Type-powered weblogs with an extra feature, which is the ability to post to your weblog through wireless gadgets such as cellphone and PDA. If I had to choose between BlogSpot and mBlog, I’d definitely pick mBlog because not only is it free, but it also has all the power and functionality of Movable Type, minus the ability to take advantage of MT plugins since you have no access to the server (though you can sill upload image files to the server using MT’s upload file feature as long as the size of each image file doesn’t exceed 60 KB). Even with no plugins, mBlog still provides you with a lot more features than BlogSpot and the most important thing is, it’s ad-free! BlogSpot users might want to check it out.

it also allows u to add on any no. of additional pages by creating new index templates. its perhaps the best free blog hosting service right now.

BlogSpot is hosted Blogger weblogs. Same lack of features.

Any idea how to add authors? Or is that just for Moveable Type rather than MBlog?

i think it’s nice , mblog, but unfortunately i don’t use MT as my weblogtool and i’d like to learn more :D

btw, when i surfed mblog, there’s an error page :(

no ads? really? cool. atleast you can upload graphics to it unlike blogspot. unfortunately, i don’t dig mt. i prefer wordpress.
