Not Feeling Well

Tuesday  •  07:07 PM  •  195 words

I haven’t been feeling well, physically. I’m not sure if I’m just catching a common cold or the deadly dengue fever virus (there’s currently a dengue fever outbreak here). I certainly hope it’s the former. As far as depression goes, I’ve got it under control. For now anyway. Though the uncertainty about my state of health is kind of depressing me. So, if things are a bit slow around here, the reason would be my poor health. Just thought I’d let you know because you care, right? I know you do :)

Update: Okay, so the fever I was having freaked me out enough to make me want to see a doctor. I had my brother drive me to a nearby clinic. The doctor had my blood checked immediately because he said dengue fever these days had some pretty unusual symptoms and it was better safe than sorry. I got the results in 10 minutes. The doctor explained the results to me and the verdict was, it was just a ‘flu. Phew. He told me to get a lot of rest and drink a lot of water, and that’s what I’m going to do :)

Of course we care! Hope you continue to feel more like yourself.

Steven  •  Feb 24  •  11:12 PM

Yes, I care. Told you a million times. What I don’t get is how you can fall ill when you had 1125 hugs. I think this is just make-believe so we’ll hug you even more. OK, but not with this guy! I already spent more hugs on you than I can afford!
Well, OK, just one more then:

;-)

Oops. What I meant was

(That’s what happens if you make up a tag that looks too much like the real thing :-( )

Siri  •  Feb 25  •  05:10 AM

Get well soon!

You’re depressed because you’re sick and you’re sick because you’re depressed. :-(

My friend had something of t he same problem. Substitute “you’re sick” with “you missed school”.

Rori  •  Feb 25  •  01:57 PM

I am very glad it is just the flu. Hope you feel better soon.

Imp  •  Feb 25  •  03:58 PM

I’m sorry you are sick Ferda. I hope you get better soon. I am really looking forward to the Book of Styles and I really like your template work for Expression Engine.
You are extremely talented!

Take care. Sleep more and drink lots of water. It helps to remove excess heat from your body if you have a fever. Don’t take antibiotics if you don’t need to.

Get well soon.

Get plenty of rest. Take it easy for a while. Drink plenty of liquids. Most important: Get well soon!

Just Kill your self, and stop spreading mercy here…

bayibhyap  •  Feb 28  •  01:44 PM

Still sick? This must be serious.

Steven  •  Feb 28  •  02:37 PM

See? No-one doesn’t like you :-) I’ve always told you so.

bayibhyap  •  Feb 28  •  07:54 PM

We have to be understanding and supportive of all our friends. I understand from the news that there is a new strain of dengue fever in Indonesia, concentrating in Jakarta. Even if dengue is not the reason for Firda’s hiatus, I still wish her well. Take care, Firda. We are here for you!

Glad you don’t have dengue fever, but I hope you’re not int too much misery!

I am terminally ill, happy, laughing and have produced a web site which is an idiot’s guide to accepting, living with, laughing at and even dying from cancer or other serious illness. The very, very last bit I can’t be absolutely sure of but then who can? I could have put together some beautifully crafted, grammatically correct essays but I hope you will understand, that when I say “I don’t have a lot of time” I mean it far more literally than you do. I wanted to publish some thoughts which may just light a spark in some people and help them or their families to deal with their situation. I am receiving overwhelming support from the general public MPs, doctors nurses etc.
It just may change your view of things.
I am not selling anything and I am not supporting a cause, religion or other group. As you will see from the site, it seems that some people’s lives have been changed for the better merely by looking at this different approach.
KindRegards
