When in Rome…

Monday  •  08:19 PM  •  133 words

Europe and Italy is a Flash movie (by Italians) dedicated to those who think that Italians behave the same as all other Europeans. Hilarious stuff. I learned from the movie that Italians and Indonesians are very much the same in so many ways. Mostly the bad ways. Sad but true.

Speaking of Europeans, I just looked up the origin of foosball in Google and found that its inventor was actually a Frenchman.

… the inventor of the first foosball table was a Frenchman named Lucien Rosengart, who lived from 1880 to 1976 and called the game “babyfoot.” Rosengart is also credited with inventing the minicar (remember Le Car?), front wheel drive and the seat belt.

Just thought the foosball afficionados among you would be interested in this little piece of information :)

I must disagree again, the inventor was a Spanis man called Alejandro Finisterre and invented it around 1936 (I also did my homework)…Byut the point in common is that both claims relate its invention to the rehab of war mutillations :S

That Europe and Italy flash movie is a hoot. Can’t tell you how many times I was nearly knocked down when I was in Italy. People that good-looking are *not* looking at the road as they ride. Checking out their hair at the side-windows… eek.

The movie was really funny. It could apply to New Yorkers as well. I suppose there are a lot of people of Italian heritage here in NYC, but I don’t think that accounts for it .
